We're looking for a Playground Installer to help us construct and install innovative playgrounds around New Zealand.If you enjoy working outdoors, aren't afraid of doing the hard yards, and are ready to join a company where teamwork – and fun - comes to the fore, then look no further.As a Playground Installer, you'll be an integral part of our construction team, helping to build and install playgrounds in the education sector and for local communities.
If you're a recent school leaver, someone who has finished a pre-trade course, or someone looking for a career change, we think this role could be perfect for you.You'll need to be confident using construction tools, take pride in your work, and know the importance of playing by the rules – health and safety is non-negotiable here.
A positive attitude and a sense of humour are on our checklist too.What the job involvesBeing a part of the installation team on our customer sitesHelping to ensure our playgrounds are delivered to a high standardLearning from our lead installers and following their instructionsConstructing our timber playground components in our workshopHelping to keep the yard and workshop organisedAssisting with the movement of our equipmentPlease note, because our playgrounds are installed throughout New Zealand, there will be overnight travel required from time to time (usually 1-2 weeks at a time).What skills and experience do you need?To be a successful Playground Installer you will need some knowledge and experience in the use of a variety of tools and construction methods, but you will also receive excellent training on the job to help grow your skills.
You will think creatively, thrive on challenges, show initiative, and be willing to listen and learn.You will also need to:Have a valid and clean NZ Driver's LicenseBe self-motivated and able to work unsupervisedBe a team playerTake instruction and be adaptableBe fit and healthy and capable of carrying out a wide range of workBe willing to participate in Health and Safety conversationsBe willing to travel throughout New Zealand and be away from home for periods of time (usually only a week or two).
Accommodation, meals, and allowances will be paid.Due to the nature of our clients, the successful applicant will need to pass a police vetting process and may need to undergo drug testing.
