Details of the offer

Location: Hamilton City

Employment Type: Permanent

Applications Close: 30 October 2024

Are you Hamilton City Council's next Platform Manager – Experience?

We are seeking a strategic leader to spearhead the transformation of our Digital Workplace/Intranet, Customer and Employee Self Service and Artificial Intelligence platforms. Our goal is to leverage the power of modern technologies, such as automation and generative AI to improve productivity and enhance our employee and customer experiences. This role presents the opportunity to play a pivotal role in a major transformation.

What will I be a part of?

You'll join our Digital Services team that is focused on enabling Hamilton City Council through digital means to achieve our goals, long-term vision, and the needs of our community.

Joining our team of platform and digital product experts, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of our experience platform services so that they meet changing business requirements. You'll collaborate with other platform managers, product owners, digital analysts, and stakeholders to define and execute the platform strategy and roadmap.

This job is for you if you:

Lead with empathy, curiosity, a sense of ownership, and of course, a sense of humour. You'll bring your team along on the journey understanding the impact of a strong team culture and camaraderie on success.

Are a seasoned professional with a robust background in managing and developing modern digital workplaces and enabling self-service across a large complex environment.

Have experience in managing significant projects that drive organisational change and enhance operational efficiency.

Have led successful initiatives aimed at improving customer engagement and experiences with online web platforms and e-commerce services.

Bring a strategic mindset which enables you to formulate, sell and implement strategies that align with our business objectives.

Have exceptional interpersonal skills, as you will engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the business internally and be responsible for managing close partnerships with our vendors.

Can demonstrate knowledge of SharePoint, Power Automate, Co-Pilot and other Microsoft technologies and how to leverage the platforms capabilities to increase productivity and improve user experiences.

What is the salary, and can I work flexibly?

Circa $125K dependent on skills and experience.

Ideally, you will be in the office 3 days per week to build connections and support your team. To ensure that you are fully onboarded and have the support needed to establish yourself in this new role, we would require you to be in the office 4 to 5 days a week in the first couple of months. Thereafter we support flexible working for our team with a hybrid approach.

Additionally, these are some of the great benefits Hamilton City Council offers:

Relocation assistance where appropriate.

Opportunities for professional development.

Two Wellbeing days per year to use in addition to your leave.

Free private medical insurance which includes hospital/surgery grade cover (discounted premiums for family members).

Ability to purchase additional annual leave.

Eye testing/glasses cost reimbursement.

Discounted purchases from local businesses; gym memberships, cafes, dentists, hairdressers and many more.

It is important to us that we support you throughout our selection process (interview and assessments). If you have any access needs during this process, let us know in advance so we can make sure these are met.
