Plastics Technician Full-time

Job Description Our Pact Packaging division is pioneering a whole of product life cycle approach to sustainable packaging. Partnering with global brands to local dairy producers, we integrate supply chain efficiencies and sustainable practices into everything we design and manufacture.

Working as part of a team you will ensure all machines and ancillary equipment are set-up and performing in a safe, efficient manner while achieving required quality standards and production outputs.

All technical activities are to be completed to a high level of competence, in a timely manner while taking responsibility for basic preventative maintenance and setter training for the designated area of responsibility.

You will also be responsible for providing assistance with process improvement projects in the department as part of our continuous improvement plan.

Key area of Accountability: Responsibility for setting the tools & equipment in designated production area. Assist Production Supervisor to maintain compliance with Manufacturing Schedule. Excellent Housekeeping. Health and Safety. Ensure product quality levels are maintained. Actively drive improvements in Department Productivity. Training and experience requirements: Essential: Level 4 National Certificate / Trade Certificate in Plastics Engineering / Processing or equivalent recognized qualification. Plastics manufacturing experience in the technical and food packaging products field. 5 years' experience in the plastics moulding field. Computer literate. Ability to use measuring equipment. Ability to read technical drawings. Desirable: Electrical knowledge and limited registration. Your Attributes and Competencies: Highly dedicated and committed to the business.
