The Team The Plastic and Reconstructive Department at Christchurch Hospital provides a complete range of secondary and tertiary services for paediatric and adult patients, both acute and elective for the Canterbury and West Coast regions. Acute hand call is shared with the Department of Orthopaedics.
The Department is one of three regional burn units and is the Regional Burn Unit for the South Island.
We are an accredited training centre for the Royal Australian College of Surgeons for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and have a complement of both training and non-training registrars within our service.

This position is available as either a fixed-term or permanent role, offering flexibility to suit the right candidate. Below are the immediate and future needs for the position:
