This is a permanent position that requires a hands-on professional to ensure the reliability of their mechanical systems. The role includes installation, maintenance and repair work, with a strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork.Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.00pm with the requirement to being on-call every second weekend.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Repairs and Maintenance Administration:Install and commission ducting, pipework, conveyors, elevators, and other mechanical components.Maintain accurate records in both paper and database formats for all maintenance activities.Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns to ensure minimal disruption to plant operations.Investigate and remediate mechanical issues in collaboration with production management and staff.Provide technical assistance and advice to management, quality control laboratories, and production teams as required.Coordinate effectively with external contractors and ensure they comply with OHS and environmental standards.Participate actively in ISO14001, HACCP, FSSC22000 certifications, and QHSE programmes.Assist with plant after hours operations on an on-call capacity on a fortnightly basis.General Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation.Exhibit behaviours in line with our core values at all times.Uphold all environmental and health requirements for a safe workplace, as per the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and the Environment Protection Authority Act 2011.Assist in plant operations after hours on a seasonal basis in collaboration with other plant employees.Contribute to customer and industry body visits and support after-hours operations as needed.Participate in on-call duties, project work, and corrective action initiatives as required by the company.Skills, Attributes, Knowledge, and Experience:Solid experience in a trade role of a similar nature.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent project management and organisational abilities, with a knack for problem-solving and planning.High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Strong technical fault-finding skills.Sound literacy and numeracy capabilities.Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Access.Qualifications:A Trades Certificate in Fitting & Turning is advantageous.Previous experience in mechanical maintenance and engineering is preferred.If you are a proactive and skilled Plant Reliability Fitter looking for a new challenge, we would love to hear from you!Please send your updated CV outlining your experience and suitability for the role to PN Personnel who are managing this rare opportunity.
