Respond to signals and directions by the staff and work in coordination with themIdentify, report and correct hazards as per company policyWork in adherence to safe practices, procedures, work site or traffic lawsLoader Duties:Operate a loader safely and efficientlyKnowledge of the loading requirements; load limits and lifting requirements (operators' manual) to ensure safe operation of plantExcavate gravels from the beach and river areas as per consent requirementsFeed gravels to crusher and screen safelyStockpile materials safelyLoad trucks efficientlyEffective use of Loadrite scalesAccurate recording of all material produced, stockpiled and loaded onto trucksMaintenance:Perform daily, weekly, and monthly plant checks as per manufacturers / Westroads recommendationsReport damage and maintenance needs as per company policyRoutine maintenance of plant i.e. greasingCarry out basic repairs on the plant, e.g. roller replacement, mesh replacementMaintain all fuel and fluid levels and report any fluid consumption issuesLabouring:Labouring is an inherent component to your role and is required. This may include:Clearing of blockages on the crusher and screensChange of screensMaintenance of silt trapsGeneral labouring such as shovelling, digging, raking etcOther duties or tasks as required throughout the West CoastOther:Adherence to Company PoliciesSkills and Experiences:Must Haves:Class 2 driver licenceWTR endorsements3 years experience in the industryAlcohol and drug free at workEligible to work in New ZealandNice to Haves:Class 4 driver licenceGood work ethicsSafety conscious
