Role Overview: The Plant Health Manager is responsible for ensuring the survival and optimal health of all plants at Riverside Horticulture's Rangiora nursery. This includes identifying and addressing issues such as weeds, diseases, and pests, and managing irrigation systems to provide adequate water supply. The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to maintaining plant health, working with a range of horticultural tools and systems to support our growing operations. Key Responsibilities: Identify and diagnose plant health issues, including weeds, diseases, and pests. Develop and implement treatment plans to manage and mitigate plant health risks. Monitor and maintain the nursery's irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and fixing any issues that arise. Ensure that all plants receive proper care, from watering and feeding to pest control and disease prevention. Monitor plant growth, health, and survival rates, adjusting care plans as needed. Maintain records of plant health, treatment applications, and other related activities. Collaborate with nursery staff to ensure that plant care aligns with production goals. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in plant health management, horticulture, or a related field. Strong understanding of plant diseases, pests, and weeds, as well as treatment options. Experience with irrigation systems, including maintenance and repair. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously. Strong communication and teamwork skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
