The Role
As Planning Team Leader, you will lead a team of 5 (soon to be 7) planners with mixed levels of experience. We are looking for someone who can come on board and use their knowledge of the Resource Consent planning process to help guide staff and nurture their growth as a planner. A large portion of the role sees you working with your team assisting them with their processes and facilitating their growth; however, you will also have a small workload, which will consist of more high-end projects.
Other Duties Include:
Develop relationships with key stakeholders Drive continuous growth and development within your team Provide support and guidance to other planners within the consent team Provide RMA expertise and process applications Ensure that legislative requirements and council policies and procedures are fulfilled About You
You will have a solid understanding of the Resource Consent process from start to finish, ideally with experience within the council space, and be able to use that knowledge to help lead a team of planners with mixed levels of experience.
Relevant tertiary education Extensive experience with Resource Management process (ideally 6+ years) Great leadership skills The ability to nurture and grow the abilities of your team with your RMA experience Benefits and Culture
