We are looking for someone who can come on board and use their knowledge of the Resource Consent planning process to help guide staff and nurture their growth as a planner.
A large portion of the role sees you working with your team assisting them with their processes and facilitating their growth; however, you will also have a small workload, which will consist of more high-end projects.Other Duties IncludeDevelop relationships with key stakeholdersDrive continuous growth and development within your teamProvide support and guidance to other planners within the consent teamProvide RMA expertise and process applicationsEnsuring that legislative requirements and council policies and procedures are fulfilledAbout YouYou will have a solid understanding of the Resource Consent process from start to finish, ideally experience within the council space, and be able to use that knowledge to help lead a team of planners with mixed levels of experience.Relevant tertiary educationExtensive experience with Resource Management process (Ideally 6+ Years)Great leadership skillsThe ability to nurture and grow the abilities of your team with your precious RMA experienceBenefits and CultureNew Plymouth District Council aims to create a truly rewarding workplace environment and pride themselves on creating solid career paths for their employees.
