Te aheinga - The opportunity We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Supervisor to lead our Resource Consents team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning process, manage a team of planners, and collaborate with stakeholders to shape the future growth and development of New Plymouth District.
Key Responsibilities: Provide RMA expertise and process RMA and related applicationsMonitor workflow and team throughput to ensure compliance with statutory time framesDrive continuous improvement, team training and own team quality system in conjunction with team Lead and Reg services QA officersProvide support and guidance to other planners in the Consents teamProcess complex resource consent applications and provide expert evidence at planning hearingsEnsure customer needs are met and deliver a high quality and cost-effective serviceDevelop and maintain relationships with industry sectorsActively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key resource management legislationActively ensure that good employer obligations and legislative requirements are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislationMinimum Requirements: Eligibility for membership of a professional instituteExtensive experience (ideally six years plus) in a resource management field, preferably in local governmentHe aha ai a Taranaki? - Why Taranaki?
