Based in Nelson, BC, you will collaborate with Planning Officers, fellow Planning Foresters across field teams and the GIS team. As a Planning Forester, you will build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, contributing to the development and execution of long-term operating plans that align with legislative requirements. Your role will include overseeing field assessment contracts, supporting compliance with BC forestry legislation and promoting responsible forest stewardship. Qualifications for this role include: A Registered Professional Forester (RPF) or be eligible for registration as an RPF with Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC) and two (2) years of experience in operational field forestry activities. Must possess at minimum a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License that does not limit or restrict the ability to conduct the duties of the job.
