A key function within Mercury, the Turnaround Planner is responsible for ensuring that these major turnarounds are adequately resourced and deliver safe and effective outcomes that protect the integrity of generating assets. The planner will proactively adopt maintenance best practice in the planning of major plant shutdowns, turnarounds and outage activities and fully utilize the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS, i.e. Maximo) to deliver high quality multi discipline work packages. In delivering this role, the planner will ensure that planned turnaround activities comply with all relevant legislation, policies and standards. The planner is responsible for planning all aspects of the major plant shutdowns, turnarounds and outages, including but not limited to contractor engagement, work package development, safety and pre-task risk assessments and cost management. The planner works closely with site resources throughout the planning process. Reporting directly the Manager Turnarounds, you will have a supportive and transparent leader and be party of a team of 7 Planners who are dedicated to their roles and enjoy working together, sharing their knowledge. Key Responsibilities: Maximo work order planning, includes defining scope, method, resources, time, costs Detailing supplementary documents including, procedures, drawings, OEM info, inspection test plans, photos, and standards and check lists Assists with work schedule optimisation and works control coordination Necessary resource consents are obtained Scope control is established utilising defined evaluation criteria, time fence freeze dates, late and emergent work approval processes Acts and is recognised as the primary contact between internal and external stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, engineering and site teams for planning purposes We are looking for: Engineering degree or advanced trade qualification. Certified Associate of Project Management, CAPM qualification would be an advantage. Advanced working knowledge of Shut / Project Management principles and practices. Advanced working knowledge of maintenance planning principals and computerised maintenance management systems. Proven ability to establish strong networks in a multiple team environment. Working understanding of financial management systems. Maintenance and operations within a power generation environment. Five years maintenance experience within a heavy engineering / continuous manufacturing process.
