About the role | Mo Te Turanga We are an award-winning council for Climate Adaptation planning, and we are looking for an experienced Planner to lead our climate change adaptation work programme.
Where you get to work within a supportive team: Work with communities to adopt and implement their coastal adaptation plans.
Engage with our communities about proactive relocation options.
Proactively communicate, inform & engage with our communities and key stakeholders on climate change related issues.
Develop and review key strategic planning documents.
Keep up to date with climate change research, trends, and policies.
About you | Mou This is an exciting time to join the team, and to be successful you will bring: Experience in community engagement for high profile projects.
Natural communicator and leader who is comfortable engaging with groups.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Your strategic thinking and critical evaluation skills.
Ability to work in a positive solution-focused team.
You will need to have a relevant tertiary qualification (i.e.
environmental management, science, policy, economics or law).
