We are looking for a full-time permanent Placement Coordinator Early Childhood Education and Care on the Manawatu campus. This role would suit a passionate individual keen to support students enrolled in all of our Early Childhood Education and Care Programmes on the Manawatu, Whanganui and Horowhenua Campuses.
As a member of UCOL's Early Childhood Team you will have the ability to inspire others to pursue and achieve their goals by offering them quality practicum placements and guidance. You will engage, support and motivate the students to achieve their qualification, the first step to achieving their ambition.
The successful applicant will be responsible for: Ensuring appropriate systems are in place to guarantee quality learning is available for all professional experience placementsFacilitating the delivery of the professional experience placement componentsMaintaining appropriate academic and practicum placement records and CA checks to meet faculty, teaching council and Children's Act 2014 requirements and ensure high quality standardsProactively develops and maintains strong stakeholder relationships within industryUndertaking assessment within a Practical EnvironmentQualifications and skills we are looking for: Current Teachers RegistrationExperience teaching in an early childhood setting and/or tertiary teaching experience in the area of Early Childhood is desiredTeam playerSolution focused and process drivenProven relationship management skillsAbility to adjust communications style to different audiencesHigh level negotiation skills and proven ability to reach agreementSound judgment and decision making amongst competing demandsAbility to link long-range visions and strategies to current activityEffective communication skills, both written and verbalNZ Full driver's licenceUCOL Te Pukenga is a government-funded Institute of Technology, with four campuses in Manawatu, Whanganui, Wairarapa and Horowhenua.
