Job Description: Modern Music Learning is seeking experienced Music Tutors to join our team. We are looking for dedicated instructors for Piano, Drums, and Singing to provide high-quality music instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. The available hours for each instrument are as follows:
Piano: Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30pm to 7:30pm
Drums: Thursday from 3:30pm to 7:30pm and either Friday or Saturday afternoons
Singing: Monday from 3:30pm to 7:30pm
Position starts Term 4, October 14th.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Instruction: Conduct engaging and effective music lessons tailored to the individual needs and goals of each student for Piano, Drums, or Singing.
Lesson Planning: Prepare lesson plans and materials in advance, ensuring they align with the curriculum and student learning objectives.
Technique Development: Teach proper techniques specific to each instrument or vocal training, including hand positioning, rhythm accuracy, dynamic control, and coordination for Drums; finger techniques, scales, and chord progressions for Piano; and vocal exercises, breath control, and pitch accuracy for Singing.
Repertoire Selection: Assist students in selecting appropriate pieces and exercises based on their skill levels and musical interests for Piano, Drums, or Singing.
Performance Preparation: Prepare students for performances, auditions, and competitions as needed, ensuring they are well-rehearsed and confident.
Feedback and Evaluation: Evaluate students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
Communication: Maintain open communication with students and their parents/guardians regarding progress, scheduling, and any concerns.
Professional Development: Stay updated with current techniques, educational methods, and trends in music education for Piano, Drums, or Singing.
Studio Management: Maintain a clean and organised teaching environment conducive to learning and practice.
Flexibility: Be flexible with your schedule to accommodate the designated teaching hours and additional hours as needed based on student demand.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a music instructor with a track record of successful student outcomes in Piano, Drums, or Singing.
Proficiency in teaching various styles and techniques specific to the instrument or vocal training.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience and the ability to work effectively with students of all ages.
Degree in Music Performance, Music Education, or equivalent experience preferred.
