Contract : Permanent, Part Time (20 hours per week / 0.5FTE)

Salary : $114,330 - $125,145 (pro rata)

Korero mo te turanga - About the role

The Wellington Physiotherapy Team has a shared leadership model headed by a Team Lead and two kairuruku/coordinators. Together we have created a team we are proud to be a part of and now, with one of our coordinators moving to a new opportunity, we are looking for someone who shares our vision to join our leadership team.

We are using this change in leadership team to evolve how we distribute our leadership focus. Our overarching goals are to:

provide the best service that we can, tailored to the community that we serve

support physiotherapists at different stages in their career to reach and achieve their full potential

Our coordinators will work together, and with the team lead, to support the inpatient team as a whole and the clinicians at each stage of their career pathway, new graduate, rotational, experienced and into designated roles. They facilitate the day to day operations of the team, managing leave, sickness and training as well as longer term development and career support.

This role is 0.5FTE (20 hours per week) and for current Health New Zealand candidates this can be combined with clinical hours to increase this post up to full time.

The Wellington Inpatient Physiotherapy Team work predominantly in the inpatient setting at Wellington Regional Hospital. Our friendly, dynamic and enthusiastic team includes coordinators, expert, advanced, experienced and rotational physiotherapists. Our team lives the values held by Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley and collectively strive to embrace manaakitanga, kotahitanga and rangatiratanga.

Three key focusses underpinning our team ethos are:

Supporting Care Capacity and Demand initiatives so we have the capacity in our team to reflect the growing demand on our service

Building cultural intelligence in our team. Focusing on whakawhanaungatanga, we work hard to identify opportunities to embed tikanga in our day to day team traditions and practice

Tailoring and supporting the growth of physiotherapists at different stages in their career

Mou - About you

You will have a passion to support the clinical and professional growth of physiotherapists at different stages of their career. This role includes participating in recruitment, performance reviews, mentorship and education, supporting both developing and established clinicians. You may have significant experience in leadership already or this might be your first formalised leadership role. Our team is ready to support your development at whatever stage you are at. First and foremost for us is finding someone who shares our passion and values.
