About the Role The Physiotherapy department delivers quality, patient-focused services across all specialty areas on the Burwood Hospital Campus.
We're looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistant with a 'can-do' attitude to join our busy Physiotherapy team in Older Persons Health.

The position will be based in our Stroke Rehabilitation ward, DG.
This is a fast-paced environment working with a team of 3 Physiotherapists and 1 Physiotherapy assistant.
Most care is delivered in a purpose-built gymnasium carrying out treatment plans and supervising exercise programmes as delegated by the Physiotherapist.
Salary – $72,074 to $86,719 - Based off the PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical collective agreement
Tasks will include: Departmental duties such as cleaning/maintaining equipment and clinical spaces, checking and maintaining consumables and stockDelivering and setting up equipment across the hospitalSupervision of exercise programmes in the inpatient setting including group workAssist with the provision and supervision of Hydrotherapy programmesAssist the Physiotherapist with the delivery of one-to-one rehabilitation treatmentAbout you Strong inter-personal skills and a sound communicatorThe ability to follow direction to assist in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation plans across Older Persons Health and outpatient settingsKnowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to healthPrevious experience in a similar role with a good understanding of health.
