About the Role The Physiotherapy department delivers quality, patient-focused services across all specialty areas on the Burwood Hospital Campus.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Physiotherapy Assistant with a can-do attitude to join our busy Physiotherapy team in Older Persons Health.

The position will be based in our Stroke Rehabilitation ward, DG.
This is a fast-paced environment working with a team of 3 Physiotherapists and 1 Physiotherapy assistant.
Most care is delivered in a purpose-built gymnasium carrying out treatment plans and supervising exercise programmes as delegated by the Physiotherapist.
Salary - $72,074 to $86,719 - Based on the PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical collective agreement.
Tasks will include: Departmental duties such as cleaning/maintaining equipment and clinical spaces, checking and maintaining consumables and stock.Delivering and setting up equipment across the hospital.Supervision of exercise programmes in the inpatient setting including group work.Assisting with the provision and supervision of Hydrotherapy programmes.Assisting the Physiotherapist with the delivery of one-to-one rehabilitation treatment.About You Strong inter-personal skills and a sound communicator.The ability to follow direction to assist in the delivery of treatment and rehabilitation plans across Older Persons Health and outpatient settings.Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its relevance to health.Previous experience in a similar role with a good understanding of health.
A qualification in any health field would be an advantage.Knowledge of safe manual handling processes.Full NZ driver's licence essential with the ability to drive a manual car.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the weaving of wellnesses.
