Physiotherapist | Women's Health | Christchurch Hospital at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, ChristchurchPart time (0.7FTE), permanent role within Women - s Health (56 hours/fortnight)Predominantly outpatient work; some inpatient cover required.Hours negotiable for the right candidateMinimum of 2 years clinical experience in Women - s Health essentialNZ Registration as a Physiotherapist with current Annual Practicing Certificate is essentialAn opportunity to develop and use your leadership skills in a health system undergoing rapid transformation.Mote tunga | About the RoleHere at Christchurch Hospital, we are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist in Women - s Health Physiotherapy to join us in providing a quality service to our patients. You will work flexibly to provide support to patients across the clinical specialties in Women - s Health including obstetrics, gynaecology, and pelvic pain. This role is predominantly outpatient work; however, inpatient cover on the gynaecology and maternity inpatient wards may be required.This role sits within a wider team working across the clinical specialties of Women - s Health, Orthopaedics, Hand Therapy, and Haemophilia.Kowai koe | About YouIn this role, you will be responsible for:Using detailed anatomical knowledge and musculoskeletal physiotherapy evidence to assess and manage a range of women - s health presentations from lower back pain in pregnancy to continence and prolapse assessment and management, and chronic pelvic pain.Undertaking assessments, completing appropriate interventions and providing advice or referring to other services;Supervising and mentoring staff and students as required;Supporting quality improvement activities.A minimum of 2 years clinical experience working in Women - s HealthBroad clinical experience working in a hospital setting (desirable);Good understanding of the current management principles of chronic pain as well as an understanding of the principles of adult education;An ability to contribute to interdisciplinary service developmentKnowledge of quality improvement principles and processesAn ability to work unsupervisedExcellent communication skills both verbally and writtenDemonstrated leadership abilities (desirable)Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board and an Annual Practicing Certificate is essential- Ko nga tangata, te matua mahi-Putting people at the heart of all we do -Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of our health system across New Zealand, with functions delivered at local, district, regional, and national levels.
