Part time (0.7FTE), permanent role within Women's Health (56 hours / fortnight) Predominantly outpatient work; some inpatient cover required. Hours negotiable for the right candidate Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in Women's Health essential NZ Registration as a Physiotherapist with current Annual Practicing Certificate is essential Here at Christchurch Hospital, we are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist in Women's Health Physiotherapy to join us in providing a quality service to our patients.

You will work flexibly to provide support to patients across the clinical specialties in Women's Health including obstetrics, gynaecology, and pelvic pain.

This role is predominantly outpatient work; however, inpatient cover on the gynaecology and maternity inpatient wards may be required.

This role sits within a wider team working across the clinical specialties of Women's Health, Orthopaedics, Hand Therapy, and Haemophilia.

In this role, you will be responsible for: Using detailed anatomical knowledge and musculoskeletal physiotherapy evidence to assess and manage a range of women's health presentations from lower back pain in pregnancy to continence and prolapse assessment and management, and chronic pelvic pain. Undertaking assessments, completing appropriate interventions, and providing advice or referring to other services. Supervising and mentoring staff and students as required. Supporting quality improvement activities. Skills and Experience: A minimum of 2 years clinical experience working in Women's Health Broad clinical experience working in a hospital setting (desirable) Good understanding of the current management principles of chronic pain as well as an understanding of the principles of adult education An ability to contribute to interdisciplinary service development Knowledge of quality improvement principles and processes An ability to work unsupervised Excellent communication skills both verbally and written Demonstrated leadership abilities (desirable) About Us: Health New Zealand leads the day-to-day running of our health system across New Zealand, with functions delivered at local, district, regional, and national levels.
