Where you'll be working: Rhoda Read Continuing CareThe details: Fixed term September 2025, part-time 64 hours per fortnightTe whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a physiotherapist to join our team working at Rhoda Read, an inpatient continuing care facility focusing on sub-acute care using a rehabilitation model based in the local communities to deliver care closer to home.The position is ideal for a physiotherapist who is keen to advance their career with the support and enthusiasm of a close-knit team.
The role requires the successful applicant to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs, and to have a genuine passion for working with patients and their whanau on their health journey.Click here to view the position description.

)Mou | About youSkills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:NZ physiotherapy registration, and a current annual practising certificate.Current valid full New Zealand driver's licence.The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of the physiotherapy and wider multi-disciplinary team across a variety of environments.Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, their whanau, and other health care professionals.At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience.Experience providing community-based physiotherapy is desirable but not essential.Mo tatou Ratonga | About our ServiceThe Physiotherapy service has approximately 90 staff, including Physiotherapists, assistants, and administrators, that work across the large geographical area that is Te Whatu Ora, Waikato.
We have staff based at Waikato Hospital, our secondary hospital in Thames, and our three rural hospitals in Tokoroa, Te Kuiti, and Taumaranui, and across our many community bases in areas such as Morrinsville, Matamata, Cambridge, and Ngaruawahia.Our vision is to provide quality physiotherapy care to promote, encourage, and enable health, wellbeing, and independence for the patients and Whanau in the communities we serve.
