Job Description Physiotherapist - Ngaruawahia (HAM01614)Where you'll be working: Ngaruawahia Community Base
The details: Fixed term until July 2025, part time 64 hours per fortnight
About the Role An opportunity has arisen to join our Waikato DHB community physiotherapy team based in north Waikato covering Ngaruawahia, Huntly and Te Kauwhata.
This role includes delivery of the early support discharge programme through the START service, and the Strength and Balance programme which is targeted at preventing falls in the elderly.
This role would suit an experienced physiotherapist with the ability to independently manage a varied clinical caseload.
The role requires the successful applicant to be adaptable to change, resourceful and flexible to service needs and to have a genuine passion for working with patients and their whanau on their health journey.
About the Team / Service / Location The Physiotherapy service has approximately 90 staff including Physiotherapists, assistants and administrators that work across the large geographical area that is Te Whatu Ora, Waikato.
We have staff based at Waikato Hospital, our secondary hospital in Thames and our 3 rural hospitals in Tokoroa, Te Kuiti and Taumarunui and across our many community bases in areas such as Morrinsville, Matamata, Cambridge, and Ngaruawahia.
Our vision is to provide quality physiotherapy care to promote, encourage and enable health, wellbeing and independence for the patients and Whanau in the communities we serve.

About You NZ physiotherapy registration, and a current annual practising certificate.Current valid full New Zealand drivers licence.The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of the physiotherapy and wider multi-disciplinary team across a variety of environments.Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, their whanau, and other health care professionals.Experience working in a community physiotherapy setting is desirable.How to Apply Please click 'Apply online' or apply via our Waikato Careers Website.
