Health school teacher, General, TherapistHealth and physical educationWe are seeking a passionate physiotherapist to work with children and young adults with special needs. This role is ideal for both experienced physiotherapists and new graduates interested in neurodevelopmental paediatrics.Our students, aged 5 to 21 years, have diverse needs, including Autism and complex physical challenges. We operate across multiple sites, including a base school, satellite units in mainstream schools, and transition units. You will need your own transport for travel between sites, with mileage reimbursement available.The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary therapy team, collaborating with Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Therapists, teaching staff, and whanau to support students' engagement in school and promote physical independence. A key part of this role involves coaching staff to implement best practices in the classroom. You'll also contribute to school-wide improvements in line with strategic planning.This varied role provides opportunities for professional development and a supportive working environment. An interest in neurodevelopmental paediatrics, postural management, and wheelchair seating would be advantageous.
