2 x Permanent full time roles within ICU (40 hours per week) and 1 x permanent part time role 0.6FTE (24 hours per week) Hours include weekend work on a rostered basis, as negotiated Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board and an Annual Practicing Certificate is essential Mo te tunga About the Role Here at Christchurch Hospital we are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to join us in ICU as part of our Cardiorespiratory and Surgical cluster in Christchurch Hospital. In this role, you will be working in and helping to develop the service in ICU whilst supporting junior staff and the upskilling of staff for after-hours work. As part of our Cardiorespiratory and Surgical Cluster, you will also work with patients across the clinical specialities of Medical Respiratory, Cardiology, Cardiothoracics, Vascular and the Surgical Progressive Unit. Some weekend work as part of your normal roster is expected. You will be expected to contribute to the on-call roster as required. Kowai koe About You In this role, you will be responsible for: Undertaking expert assessments, completing appropriate interventions and providing advice or referring to other services; Supervising and mentoring rotational staff and final year physiotherapy students; Helping to facilitate service improvements. Nga pukenga me nga wheako Skills and Experience Previous experience in the critical care environment is required, along with a broad range of experience, ideally including respiratory surgery and cardiology (desirable). The ability to work collaboratively across the multi-disciplinary team, enthusiasm and confidence in sharing your knowledge across your discipline, and a working knowledge of quality improvement processes are also essential.
