We are looking for an enthusiastic, New Zealand registered Physiotherapist with solid experience across adult and paediatric generalhealth settings to join our Physiotherapy and allied health team based at Wairarapa Hospital, Masterton. We need a clinician with flexibility and enthusiasm, who thrives in a team environment, and is focused on delivering the best possible clinical care for clients.
If you have a passion for working with clients to maximise care across a range of clinical areas (acute medical, rehabilitation and paediatrics) in a secondary hospital setting this is the role you have been waiting for. Our Physio team is a small, dynamic team that is well supported by the allied health and multidisciplinary teams and has close links with regional and national Physio networks. The Physiotherapist is an integral part of multidisciplinary team function and in this role you will be working closely with the clinical team to assess and manage acute presentations and longstanding impairments, contribute to discharge planning and provide ongoing intervention to support people to remain as functional as possible in their homes and communities.
This is a fixed term 1 year, full time position working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE) the reason for the fixed term is provide cover for another employee on leave.
New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with current annual practicing certificate. Minimum of 3 years clinical practice, including experience across musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurological settings. A current driver's licence, ability to drive a manual and automatic car (required for roles based in the community or where the role may be required to work across multiple sites).
