Fixed Term – Ending October 2025 0.6 FTE – (24hours per week) National Child Rehabilitation Service (NCRS) Wilson Centre Te Whatu Ora - Waitemata We are seeking a New Zealand registered Physiotherapist to work in an exciting and unique position within the National Child Rehabilitation Service (NCRS), based at the Wilson Centre.
NCRS offers a comprehensive whanau-centred rehabilitation service for tamariki and rangatahi (ages 0-16). We are the national tertiary service which provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation for tamariki and rangatahi with neurological, orthopaedic, spinal, complex pain and other medical conditions.
The team works together with tamariki and their whanau to develop a flexible programme tailored to meet their needs. The Physiotherapy role involves developing and delivering rehabilitation that focuses on supporting whanau-centred goals. An interdisciplinary team (IDT) approach forms part of the service's framework, so effective communication skills with key stakeholders, the IDT and whanau, as well as the ability to collaborate with the necessary professionals nationally, is vital in ensuring a successful rehabilitation process.
