We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist who exemplifies collaboration and autonomy, thinks on their feet, is resourceful, and can accurately diagnose patients in our busy emergency department here at Waikato Hospital.
As a successful candidate, you will play a key role in assessing our ED patients to determine if an admission or clearance for home is required. You will be expected to work at pace and develop high trust relationships with our multi-disciplinary staff in the ED to provide accurate diagnosis and clear directives to help optimise hospital flow. This position involves all aspects of physiotherapy practice in an academic tertiary hospital setting in one of New Zealand's fastest-growing regions.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position up until the 9th of July 2025, 80 hours per fortnight, Sunday to Wednesday. The position is 4 days per week, 10 hour days offering you fantastic work-life balance. We also have an exciting weekend on-call service which provides you with the exposure and experience to advance and/or maintain your respiratory and acute care skills.
