Mo te turanga - About the role
As a Physiotherapist working in the Community Team, you will have a focus on performing high quality physiotherapy assessment and intervention. It involves working alongside other Allied Health and Nursing team members to plan and provide patient-centred rehabilitation to our community in their own homes. There will be minimal on-call work required (but appropriate compensation will be given).
This role requires an interest and passion for rehabilitation across the age groups, and the ability to work effectively and autonomously in a fast-paced community environment. An understanding of optimising patient outcomes and facilitating effective discharge in a community setting is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
You will work both autonomously and as part of a great team, and be responsible for managing, and prioritising your patient caseload.
Keen to be part of and develop quality services in collaboration with other committed inter-professional team of health professionals.
Attend regular in-services, senior staff mentoring and peer review and access to course and conference funding.
To be successful in this position, you will also need to demonstrate the following:
Exceptional team-player with the ability to work collaboratively across a wider multi-disciplinary team.
You will have at least one to two years' experience and be registered with the Physiotherapy Board of NZ and hold a current annual practicing certificate.
Strong organisational, time-management and clinical priority-setting skills.

Utu whanui - Salary range
This role belongs to the DHBs/PSA Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($77,087 p.a) and Step 7 ($107,600 p.a pro-rata) of the Degree-based Allied, Public Health and Technical Salary scale. Additional compensation for on-call work.
