About the Role
Under the guidance of the Physiotherapist, you will provide physiotherapy services following the individual resident's care plan and treatment programme. You will also work with the Physiotherapist in developing individual programs to meet the resident's needs.
This is a part-time fixed term role until the end of Dec 2025 covering maternity leave. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday, worked between 8am-4pm, 30 hours per week.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Comply with the Physiotherapy assistant scope of practice
Ensure care is provided following the resident care plan and physiotherapy treatment programme.
Contribute to the achievement of resident focussed goals.
Ensure resident safety, privacy and comfort is always maintained
Adhere to policies and procedures and comply with all relevant standards and legislation
Skills and Experience
You will have 1 year of previous experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant in aged care
Demonstrate a positive attitude to wellness and healthy lifestyle and is physically fit
Display enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of residents
Be able to commit to working on a rotating roster and have reliable travel arrangements.
