Physical Commodity Trader and Relationship Manager Dahuti International is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Physical Commodity Trader/Relationship Manager to join our expanding team in New Zealand. Dahuti is a New Zealand owned and operated supplier of Agricultural commodities and Industrial products to the New Zealand and Australasian markets. Established in 2007, our customers rely on our established global distribution network to channel the supply of vital resources they need to keep stock fed and factories in full production.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse market trends and trading opportunities to optimise trading strategies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, farmers, customers, and market participants.
Execute trades efficiently while managing risk and maximising profitability.
Perform physical trade operations for imported products into New Zealand including hands-on management of bulk vessels, storage, and logistic functions.
Provide weekly reporting on imported volumes across a variety of products, including demand forecasting and expected sales over the next 12 months.
Manage relationships with end users throughout New Zealand.
Stay current with business developments, market trends, and market changes. Participate across the wider areas in the business, including industrial and fertiliser products.
Skills and Experience:
University degree in Finance, Economics, or Agriculture and/or 1-5 years proven experience in commodity trading or similar financial roles.
Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of market dynamics.
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Familiarity with agricultural commodities.
Ability to produce detailed reports and forecasts.
A keen eye for detail and high level of accuracy.
