Photographer / Production Assistant

Are you creative? A keen photographer with an eye for detail who enjoys the creative process, start to finish? We're after a passionate creative to work flexibly as a full-time photographer / photo editor who is eager to get involved in the creative process from idealisation through until delivery. Primarily operating as a photographer, you'll work as a core member of our small, but growing team. You'll be given opportunities to wear many hats, working in photography post-production and on-set assisting throughout video productions. Additionally you'll dive into social media content creation, working with our videographer to curate social content for our brand! The ideal candidate is someone passionate about working in creative content production. This person has a passionate attitude towards their work with a readiness to learn and grow; someone who is driven to push their creativity and show up at their best. Key Responsibilities ( not limited to ) Photographer - Use and operate cameras, directing subjects and shaping light to curate image outcomes. Edit photos using one or many of the following - Lightroom, Capture One, Photoshop - to deliver final outputs on production projects in line with the required brief. Source required assets for projects, eg - Graphic Assets, Stock Imagery. Curate social media content for Marsters Media. Production Responsibilities Voice creative opinions in creative planning sessions prior to production. Assist with tasks prior to, during and after production - moving and operating equipment, lighting and other required elements. Operate cameras, audio and other production assets - utilising your creative skill-set to elevate productions in line with desired outcomes ( if applicable to the right candidate. ) Location We are based in the Mt Wellington area ( currently transitioning from studio to office ) Must be open to travel as required by production projects. Experience Candidate should have proficient experience with the Adobe suite and/or other commercial editing software. Previous experience in Video Editing/Post-Production Processes and/or as a camera operator (Commercial or Social) is a bonus. Candidate will need a full drivers license. Portfolio - Showcase your previous work by sharing your portfolio ( Don't be put off if you don't have the biggest portfolio of work yet. )
