Medlab Central provides a wide range of services in relation to diagnostic testing for patients in both the community and public hospitals throughout Palmerston North, Wanganui, Feilding, Bulls, Levin, Dannevirke, Hawkes Bay, Pahiatua, Eketahuna, Otaki, Marton and Gisborne.
In addition, we provide public hospital-based services to Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand in Palmerston North, Whanganui and Gisborne as well as referred services to a variety of Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand hospitals.
The Medlab Central team has a commitment to service excellence, being aware of both our responsibility and accountability to deliver services of the highest quality to fully satisfy the expectations of patients and their medical advisors.
We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and friendly person to join our Phlebotomy team based in Levin and Otaki.
Participation in the department roster to cover the following hours is required:
• 0730 - 1230 Monday to Friday (25 hours per week)
Your duties would include collecting blood samples from patients for laboratory testing.
Training and ongoing support would be provided.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

Accurately follow detailed instructions and procedures;
Have an awareness of ethical, privacy, and procedural regulations;
Be part of a team with the ability to effectively communicate and fit in with the team environment;
Hold or obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate with NZ Medical Science Council;
Have a clean NZ Driver's Licence;
Be legally entitled to work in NZ; and
Be willing to undergo a security and criminal record check.
