About the Position We are seeking a seasoned fundraising professional with a successful track record in growing the value of planned giving, fundraising appeals and corporate supporters. As a key member of the City Mission's Senior Leadership Team, the Philanthropy Manager will make a vital contribution to the Mission, to our clients and to our community as a whole. This position will: Contribute to organisational growth and success as a key member of the senior leadership team Inspire, engage and mentor the Fundraising and Marketing team Lead the ongoing development, implementation and review of fundraising and marketing strategies which are aligned with the City Mission's values Manage budgets and deliver targets for growth in total fundraising income Organise and attend events and networking with relevant stakeholders Identify, develop and secure new partners and individual donors to grow a diverse income stream Manage all external communications and media engagement Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders This is a permanent, full-time position. Ideal Appointee We are seeking an experienced leader with the following skills and expertise: Demonstrated success in philanthropy, including achieving income targets through major marketing and fundraising campaigns in the not-for-profit sector Passion and heart for social and community services, and a strong empathy for marginalised, disadvantaged or vulnerable members of our community Relevant educational background or equivalent professional experience (5 years+) Inspirational leadership skills, with significant experience guiding company strategy in marketing, fundraising, event planning, donor relations and communications Proven ability to develop and execute strategic fundraising plans and goals, in line with budget, with expert-level knowledge of fundraising best practices Proven stakeholder relationship management and networking skills Superior verbal and written communication skills, enabling successful engagement with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally Experience managing significant budgets with strong financial management, analytical and reporting skills Familiarity with impact monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks specific to philanthropic efforts Strong digital competence which includes the use of MS Office suite, social media platforms and CRM systems In return, we can offer you a rewarding role within a fun and supportive team environment, where no two days will be the same!
