About the Role We have a vacancy for a highly motivated individual wishing to join our pharmacy team to support our pharmacy service for a 12 month fixed term period to cover parental leave.
This role involves inpatient / outpatient dispensing, compounding, pharmacy stock management, maintaining imprest levels in all wards/units, ordering, repacking, receipting, stocking shelves, maintaining cold chain supply and accreditation, and ensuring compliance to quality standards. You will be exposed to automated dispensing units (Pyxis) - this is an ongoing project rolling across 2025-2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a patient-focused, multidisciplinary team and experience hospital pharmacy.
About You We are looking for: A qualified Pharmacy Technician must be a NZ Certified Pharmacy Technician Level 4, 5 or 6 with or without a PACT qualification.You will be a flexible team player, with a diligent approach to your work.You will be a problem-solver with a positive 'can-do' attitude.You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, excellent time management skills, be consistent, reliable and accurate in your work.You will have a very high standard of ethical and professional practice.You will be customer service focused.We seek a person with a good sense of humor who is willing to share their experience and expertise with the rest of the team.About the Team/Service/Location Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes provides healthcare from its two modern and progressive general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo, New Zealand. $72,074 to $86,719 pro-rated to hours worked.
