Pet Doctors Howick - Senior Companion Animal Veterinarian - AucklandPosition type: Senior Companion Animal VeterinarianPet Doctors Howick is a well-established companion animal clinic in East Auckland looking for a senior veterinarian to join our team.Our team loves being part of the friendly local community here in Howick. A few of our favourite things in the local area include:Gorgeous beaches - great for relaxing during your lunch break.Howick Village - one minute drive or eight-minute walk from the clinic - with lots of food options and shops.Howick Historic Village - a great weekend activity.Stockade Hill - great spot for a lunchtime stroll.Great clients, who are very friendly and consider their pets part of the family.Lovely suburban area - lots of great schools, cafes, events such as Santa Parades, op shops, and farmers markets to enjoy.A bit about us:We are an inclusive and diverse team, who are open to change and new ideas, creating a friendly and supportive culture in our clinic.Our clinic is well-equipped to perform an extensive range of procedures and surgeries with modern anaesthetic machines, respiratory monitors, IDEXX machines, fluid pumps, digital x-ray suite, x-ray table, dental and radiograph, ultrasound machine, three generously sized consult rooms, spacious waiting area with separate space for cats and dogs, prep room, and sterile surgery.What's on offer:An excellent pay rate based on experience.Full-time or part-time position - with flexibility on exact hours and days.Generous annual CPD allowance and paid study leave, plus free access to our very own Veterinary Training Centre.Health and wellness benefits - including discounts on gym memberships.Visa sponsorship and relocation package for eligible international veterinarians.What are we looking for:We are looking for a passionate and experienced small animal veterinarian to join our team - ideally in a full-time position but open to discussing part-time options.BVSc qualification (or equivalent) and registered, or eligibility to register to practice in New Zealand is required.6+ years experience preferred.Comfortable with routine consults and surgeries - happy with some sole charge as required.A great team player who enjoys contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.VetPartners is an equal opportunity employer and recognises that diversity is crucial to our success.
