This role is a six month fixed term position to cover for an internal secondment.About the role | Ko te mahi neiThis is more than a typical PA role as you will be given the chance to make an impact, and see your ideas valued and put into action. Your can-do attitude and engaging and personable manner will allow you to connect and collaborate with a wide range of people, and your initiative, self-motivation, and energy will see you hit the ground running in this role.Your responsibilities will include:Masterfully managing the Head of Unit's schedule, making sure they're always at the right place at the right time.Attending meetings and undertaking minute taking functions including preparation and maintenance of documents, reports and presentations.Taking charge of important document preparation, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.Acting as the gatekeeper to the Head of Unit, screening and prioritising communications.Building effective and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Being the go-to guru for the team and be on the ready to assist the team with tasks as they arise.You'll naturally be able to effectively anticipate the needs of your manager, have the ability to balance conflicting priorities and provide innovative solutions, all at the same time as ensuring our key partners, stakeholders and internal customers receive the best possible service.You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:Exceptional organisational and time management skills with keen attention to detailStellar interpersonal skills - you're comfortable engaging with a diverse group of professionals.Initiative and adaptability - you're always looking for ways to improve processes and systems.A team player with a positive attitude - your can-do spirit brightens up any room.5 years' experience as a Personal Assistant and/or business administration within a large organisationAbility to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential/ sensitive workExperience in managing senior executive internal relationships in both formal and informal contexts.An appreciation of humour in the workplace.What's in it for you?
