Permanent Deputy Principal Primary School (5Mu + 1Sma)

Wa Ora Montessori School is an Area School based in Lower Hutt, just 30 minutes from the capital city of New Zealand. Wellington is renowned for being the "Coolest Little Capital in the World" (Lonely Planet), and is close to bush walks, beaches, a great cultural scene and some of the world's best restaurants, cafes and coffee.
Wa Ora is the only Montessori School in New Zealand that nurtures the child from 18 months to 18 years. We are a community-based school with close connections to our whanau (families).
We are seeking an experienced Senior or Middle Leader for our Montessori Primary School (Yr1-7) and willing to be a member of our innovative and friendly Senior Leadership Team in a highly collaborative working environment.
A requirement to apply for this position is that you have successfully completed face-to-face Montessori Primary training and have prior experience teaching in a Montessori Primary environment. Applicants must have New Zealand teacher registration and have the legal right to work in NZ. A working knowledge and understanding of the NZ Curriculum would be desirable.
Successful applicants will: Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Primary School (Yr1-7)
Report directly to the Principal
Support learning across the Primary School
Be an effective communicator
Be approachable and flexible
