The Performance, Monitoring and Reporting Lead plays a critical role in the Arts, Culture, and Lifelong Learning (ACLL) Team, ensuring we can tell the story of how our services and programmes at Te Ara Atea and Lincoln, Leeston, and Darfield Libraries and Service Centres impact our community, and maintaining smooth operations at each site.This full-time role has responsibility for collecting and sharing insights and analysis on ACLL's mahi, actively enquiring into how our services are meeting the needs of people across the district and looking ahead to inform planning for the future.Working a Tuesday to Saturday week as part of our leadership team, you will provide support and coaching to our team of Casual Community Library & Service Centre Assistants (CLSCAs), working with our Site Co-ordinators to roster them effectively across our network of sites and making sure that day-to-day staffing is well managed across the board.You will plan and manage training for our CLSCA team, ensuring they have the skills and resilience they need to deliver the suite of services we offer in a busy, modern public library environment, and you'll play a key role in ensuring our facilities are well-maintained and keeping our people healthy, safe and well.This opportunity is a great chance for someone already working in libraries, or someone wanting to make a change to a new career, to join a vibrant leadership team. Positive and forward-thinking, you will have excellent communication skills and work well in a collaborative environment. Other attributes include:Well-organised, an excellent planner and able to meet deadlines.Confidence working with data collection and an astute eye for analysisCan balance a varied workload where no two days are the same, juggling different pieces of work and priorities throughout the day.Understands the kaupapa of a modern public library serviceHas a minimum of five years in a people leadership role, ideally in the GLAM sector (Galleries, Libraries, Archives & Museums), or significant project experience in a customer experience settingHas a good understanding of Te Ao Maori and a demonstrated commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi.What we can offerYou will primarily be based at Te Ara Atea, centrally located within Selwyn and an easy commute from Christchurch.
