Mo tenei turanga mahi | About this role In this leadership role, you will translate strategy into action, guiding your team and Council to achieve organisational, team, and individual goals. As a champion of continuous improvement, you will lead and manage initiatives across the Council, setting the direction for business intelligence and analytics to support data-driven decision-making. You will oversee the Organisational Performance Management Framework, managing data acquisition, such as the Resident Satisfaction Survey, and performance reporting. In partnership with colleagues, you will help the Council meet its compliance reporting obligations. Additionally, you will provide training, coaching, and support in continuous improvement and performance management, advising the Strategy and Commissioning team and the broader Council on service and operational enhancements. He aha taau e kawe mai | What you'll bring Relevant Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 5 years in developing and managing organisational performance frameworks, with a tertiary qualification in a related field or equivalent industry experience, and certification in contemporary business or continuous improvement methodologies. Business Intelligence and Analytical Expertise: Strong familiarity with modern practices in business intelligence, data science, and analytics, with the ability to apply these skills to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. Legislative Knowledge and Strategic Application: Solid understanding of local government legislation, policies, and procedures, with experience developing strategies that align with regulatory requirements and organisational objectives. Operational Leadership and Collaboration: Proven ability to lead projects, coordinate with teams, and foster collaboration to achieve organisational goals, with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
