Management - Internal (Human Resources & Recruitment)As a privately-owned New Zealand business with over 100 employees, we are looking for a People & Performance Manager to bring their human resources, people engagement, and operational management expertise to our business.You may have worked in big corporates and you're now looking to step into a role where you'll report directly to our CE and work closely with other Senior Managers, while having the authority to bring new ideas and initiatives to our team for implementation.At Snell, we don't let good ideas go to waste. We seek to promote a culture which is rooted in respect, accountability, and high performance as this allows us to deliver to our customers who are some of New Zealand's largest manufacturing, agricultural, and food processing companies.Key Responsibilities:Acting as the driving force behind our people strategyAligning our employees with the company's mission and valuesOverseeing key administrative functionsDrive initiatives that improve communication and engagement across the business, including our 3 regional branches.Manage HR systems and payroll processes, ensuring seamless integration with our outsourced payroll provider.Oversee administrative operations, including Health and Safety committee leadership, and assisting the CE.Input in financial budgeting process.What We're Looking For:Experience in human resources or people management, ideally within a medium-sized business or someone looking to leave a corporate environment for something more balanced and people-focused.You must have experience in employment law and processes associated with people management.The ability to brief and liaise with our legal advisors.An understanding and commitment to confidentiality and sensitive information.A proactive, strategic thinker who can establish and modernize people processes that fit our dynamic culture.Someone with the confidence and autonomy to make decisions that improve our people's work experience and performance.Familiarity with HR systems and an interest in "disruptive HR" methods, focusing more on people and performance than box-ticking.Ability to manage administrative functions with an eye on business operations, balancing the human element with operational excellence.Availability to work on-site in our Auckland office at least 3 days per week, part-time to hours suit.Why Join Us?A flexible work environment that encourages work-life balance, including the possibility of hybrid work arrangements.A chance to have a direct impact on a company where your ideas and initiatives will be heard at the highest levels.An office environment that is supportive, collaborative, and driven by mutual respect and trust.The opportunity to grow with us as we look to expand, potentially broadening your role and scope in the future.About Us:At Snell, our people are the experts in packaging, safety, and the many sustainable options and approaches available.
