We are seeking an experienced Organisational Development Manager for an eleven-month parental leave contract to lead our People Experience Development team. You'll be leading an experienced and passionate organisational development team (4 FTE) committed to improving the people experience at Mercury through leadership, DEIB, talent management, growing capability, and more. You'll have the opportunity to work across Mercury to understand a variety of needs and set direction for the strategic initiatives that will make Mercury an even better place to work! You will be the type of person who can bring together key stakeholders to directly contribute to work through adaptive teams and ways of working, ensuring that effective communications and change strategies allow for the implementation of employee-focused solutions. Our team currently has a focus on building our future leadership capabilities and evolving our DEIB approach, among other people experience priorities. There is some travel required to key sites and other offices within the North Island. Key Responsibilities Include: Oversees, designs, and delivers a range of strategic initiatives that improve capability and performance in line with the people strategy and business plan. Takes an adaptive approach to evaluate, iterate, and improve people solutions to ensure alignment to strategy, culture, and ongoing value realization. Maintains understanding of external best practices and trends and translates to enhance employee experience. Ensures effective communication and change management supports the implementation and utilization of solutions. Intimately understands the problem to solve and co-creates with the business to deliver solutions. Effectively drives adaptive ways of working to deliver prioritized work at pace and within budget. We are looking for: A bachelor's degree in HR or another relevant field. Strong experience in (internal) communications / organisational development (OD) / people and culture / Diversity, Equity & Inclusion roles or equivalent, preferably within a large commercial environment. Experience leading teams, either directly through leading people, or through leadership of work/projects/initiatives. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, understand varying needs, and take a broad enterprise view. Proven ability in designing, developing, and implementing OD initiatives that drive culture change, enhanced employee experience, capability, and business performance.
