People & Culture Advisor (Fixed Term Maternity Cover)

Based in beautiful Queenstown our People & Culture team are looking for a full-time People & Culture Advisor on a 9 month maternity cover contract (Feb 2025 - Oct 2025). In this varied and collaborative role, you'll work closely with our existing P&C Advisor and APAC operations team, to provide hands-on support and guidance with all things people related. 
Your duties will include: Handle inquiries from employees and managers, providing guidance on HR matters and promoting best practicesProvide advice and support on employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processesSupport payroll processes, including payroll checks and data entry as neededDevelop and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation, staying up to date with changesCoach leaders to build their capability and support them through complex and difficult issuesMaintain personnel records, HR information systems and initiative trackersAssist with recruitment by determining needs, posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checksSupport Health & Safety compliance, reporting, and accident claim processingThe successful candidate will ideally possess the following: 3+ years experience in a People & Culture role, with a strong understanding of HR processes, employment legislation and best practicesStrong knowledge of payroll processes for Australia and New ZealandExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levelsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environmentDiscretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.This role is ideal for a proactive P&C professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with operations and management teams to drive positive change!
