Your Role: As the People and Capability Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in advising and supporting managers across the full spectrum of human resources.
This includes recruitment, performance management, employee relations, training and development, employee engagement, remuneration, and organisational policies and procedures.
You will ensure legal compliance and best practices, providing people and employment relations support and advice.
As a trusted advisor to both employees and management, you will offer guidance on a wide range of HR-related matters, contributing to a positive and productive workplace environment.
This fixed-term (maternity cover) position provides flexible working arrangements for six months, with the potential for an extension.
Key Responsibilities: Delivering core HR functions, including employment relations, remuneration, staff experience (recruitment, onboarding, retention, and farewell), performance management, talent management, succession planning, engagement, HRIS support, reporting, administration, and capability development.Manage employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.Administer HR-related documentation and maintain accurate employee records.Stay informed about changes in employment legislation and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Manage the HRIS and prepare routine and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making.Develop strong relationships with managers and staff, delivering a quality, customer-centric approach.Qualifications and Experience: Recognised tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.Approximately five years of experience in Human Resources, preferably at a generalist advisory level.Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and initiatives.Strong understanding of New Zealand employment legislation.Skills and Competencies: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication and presentation skills.Proficiency in developing and nurturing strong relationships, with the ability to influence and coach effectively.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate HR complexities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.Why Join Us?
