People and Capability Advisor - Fixed Term (Parental leave cover (14 months))

As a People & Capability specialist, you will support managers and staff with human resource operations, resolve queries, and address legislative issues. You will provide generalist advice to staff and assist in resolving employment-related issues. Key responsibilities include supporting managers with recruitment, onboarding, and maintaining employee records, and managing lower-level employee relations issues ensuring policy and legislative compliance. You will coordinate training and development, deliver accurate information for reporting purposes, and collaborate with stakeholders to support organisational goals.

Relevant Qualifications and Experience: A recognised and relevant tertiary qualification at diploma or degree level with a minimum of 3 years' experience as an HR generalist in a medium to large organisation.
Legislative Knowledge and Strategic Thinking: A sound understanding of legislative requirements and best practice and how to translate strategy into action associated with the HR sector i.e. Employment Relations, Holidays Act etc.
Communication and Engagement skills: Proven ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships taking a customer-centric approach to meet operational needs and organisational objectives. A commitment to upholding confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of work.

Salary for this position will commence between $78,070 and $91,848 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
