The Role: This newly created People Advisor role, will see you report to the People + Culture + Development Lead and collaboratively work with the wider corporate administration team where you will deliver upon day-to-day HR functions across the business.
The position blends HR generalist responsibilities, with forward-thinking initiatives aimed at supporting broader company goals and improvements that include coordinating learning and development initiatives, supporting with people strategy implementation, and initiating enhanced systems of working that support the growth of Envelope.
This is an office-based role Monday to Friday. We will consider applicants looking for between 30-40 hours per week.
Key duties will include:
Support and advise on people activities aligned to current employment law/regulations and business needs
Assist with the setup and continuous improvement of HR systems and processes
Support and develop learning and development initiatives across the business
Coordinate and lead a wide range of generalist activities ranging from end-to-end recruitment and exiting, reporting, performance reviews, goal setting, remuneration, and employment relations
Coordinate activities such as candidate care, employment offer creation and variations, reporting, data analysis and background checks
With support from your manager, coach people leaders through complex HR matters
Build positive relationships across the business to ensure HR is delivered effectively
About You: You will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and offer previous experience working in a corporate setting. Relationship management and building rapport across the team is critical. You will also offer:
A relevant degree (HR or similar) at tertiary level
3-5 years of relevant HR experience from a generalist background
Knowledge in design and development of learning and development systems and processes is advantageous
The ability to drive improvements and proactively support on a wide range of HR initiatives
Up to date knowledge and experience with NZ employment law
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
