Our dedicated, agile and supportive team are looking for a physiotherapist to help our service deliver optimum care to the Tairawhiti community.

You will be joining our team as an outpatient pelvic health physiotherapist. This is an opportunity to add your skills to an established pelvic health service, enjoy our diverse patient population and the wonderful area we live in.

There is an opportunity to grow and develop your clinical experience in a hospital-based setting with mentoring and support from a senior pelvic health physiotherapist alongside our pelvic health team.

You will be providing physiotherapy assessments and treatments to the people of Tairawhiti. This includes bladder and bowel incontinence, pelvic floor dysfunction and rehabilitation, pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction, a range of gynaecological and colorectal cases, anti-natal and post-natal, ACC maternal birth injuries and men's health including our pre and post-operative prostatectomy pelvic floor programme.

We have a good working relationship with the associated consultants and access to wider multidisciplinary teams to both grow this service and consolidate your clinical practice.

Our senior pelvic health physiotherapist has a vision of providing excellence in this role and strives to continue developing this service with strong clinical reasoning and professional development.

We have a patient and whanau focused approach and acknowledge the complexities of care in a rural based region with diverse cultural needs.

If you have a passion for pelvic health or are developing your skill set this is a great opportunity for you. The remuneration range for this role is $70,842 - $109,000 and is covered by the collective agreement: PSA Allied MECA Allied, Public Health & Technical.

In order to be successful in this role you will need to:

Hold current registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board

Have the ability to manage your time effectively

Have good communication skills

Have the ability to respond to need as it arises

Be able to ask for support as you need it
