The Salvation Army Bridge Centres exists to provide safe, integrated, high-quality treatment and support services to people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or substance use. The Salvation Army Bridge Programme currently has vacancies for suitably qualified and experienced Peer Support workers.
You will join a passionate and professional team that will support our service users by assisting them to develop and maintain living skills, relationships and daily activities so they may be active participants in their recovery and their communities.
The ability to work in a culturally appropriate and safe manner with Maori and Pacific peoples is essential as is a full / clean driver's license.
You will utilise your lived experience of addiction to support tangata whai ora to maintain and improve communication, behaviour, and activities of daily living.

Hour of work:40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm and can be negotiable
The starting salaryfor this role will fall between $26 and $29.10
