Our services are evidenced based best practice and are known for being people-centered, caring, transformative and responsive.The Salvation Army Bridge Programme currently has vacancies for suitably qualified and experienced Peer Support workers.You will join a passionate and professional team that will support our service users by assisting them to develop and maintain living skills, relationships and daily activities so they may be active participants in their recovery and their communities.The ability to work in a culturally appropriate and safe manner with Maori and Pacific peoples is essential as is a full / clean driver's license.You will utilise your lived experience of addiction to support tangata whai ora to maintain and improve communication, behaviour, and activities of daily living.We are committed to fully representing the voice of those who use our services and ensuring that those who have lived with their own addiction challenges can enjoy the evidenced benefits to recovery that employment provides.
