Your experience will be invaluable in fostering a safe and supportive environment where our tangata whaiora (people accessing services) feel heard and understood.We have two positions available: one 30-32 hours per week and another 40 hours per week, both Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.One role focuses on working with young adults (18-25), providing age-relevant support and understanding. The other role emphasizes support for tangata whaiora with an Asian background, requiring cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique experiences shaped by ethnicity and cultural identity.In both roles, you will be working within a diverse community, partnering with individuals and their whanau to deliver tailored, person-centered care.We are looking for people with a genuine passion for supporting others, especially those who bring the following qualities:A Level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Peer Support) or a willingness to work towards itStrong cultural competency and an appreciation for diversityExperience in the mental health sector, particularly in peer support rolesPersonal experience of mental distress and a demonstrated journey of recovery, showing leadership in self-awareness and well-beingExcellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilitiesA positive attitude with a drive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of othersA full New Zealand Driver's LicenseMe pehea te tono mai | How to ApplyIf this sounds like you, click 'apply' and upload your CV and cover letter.
