Wa Ora Montessori School is an Area School based in Lower Hutt, Wellington, catering for approximately 300 children and is the only Montessori School in New Zealand that nurtures the child from 0 to 18 years. We are a community-based school with close connections to our whanau (families).
We are seeking a permanent part-time PE teacher to join our friendly and collaborative staffing team. The ideal candidate will have current New Zealand teacher registration and prior experience teaching students from Y1-10 (6-15 years of age). This position also includes 1 permanent unit for the role of sports co-ordinator managing sporting events for Y1-8.
The position is delivered on Tuesdays and Thursdays for primary (Y1-7 / 6-12 year olds) from 12.30pm–3pm, and you will be expected to be onsite from 12.15pm – 3.15pm on Tuesdays and from 12.30–3.45pm on Thursdays. The position is delivered on Wednesdays for High School (Y8-10 / 12-18 year olds) from 9am–3.15pm, and you will be expected to be onsite from 8.30am- 4pm. The start date for this position is for the beginning of term 1, end of January 2025.
